...this is the aftermath of this week's bout with some pretty severe weather conditions in the valley. It certainly put the kibosh on my fashion show, but I can't wait to see what blooms once it dries.
Today was the first day I've actually been able to leave the house (not that I do that too often anyway). There were many young trees leveled by fierce winds, luckily none of the homes I passed during our 3-mile-walk were hit. All is calm again, back to business as usual.

the peacefulness that usually follows storms always fascinates me, as do the resulting lakes and ponds such as this. sometimes an inconvenience, yes. but they make me smile.
Wow. That's one impressive body of water. We got hit pretty good by the storm too. Downed trees, cliff erosion and other gifts from mother nature. Like you and your neighbors, we were also spared from any damage, but I am sure the land is happy for the water.
We had rain too, a lot of rain. It keeps things cool out here.
The pictures are awesome. I wouldn't have thought.
it very much looks like a lake... my brother lives in san diego where it almost never rains and he got hit hard... glad the damage was minimal ...

I was house-bound by the weather here in Southern California as well. And...looks like we have a bit more on the way.

Very pretty landscaping. It's intriguing to me, living in the Mid-west, how amazingly transformative the land can where you live. It must be remarkable watching God and nature in action this way.
