Fixated

Have you ever gotten completely fixated on a word, image, idea or concept? Anxiously awaits and hopes I'm not alone. It seems to happen to me often, perhaps not often, but more than is comfortable or normal- whatever that is.

Most times I just work it out, doodling, writing, thinking, creating around the theme, but this time it feels much deeper and I can't get my head around it. It's taken up much of my lucid time and has been interrupting my sleep, leading to mid-day naps and feelings of irritability and exhaustion.

Shrugs. So yeah, that's the skinny on what's been going on with me for the past FOUR days, has this ever happened to you?

Peace and befuddlement

you can exhale now and relax your tightened shoulder muscles - YES... umm (guiltily admitting) to the point that the kids have had to remind me that they are looking for dinner... or that they are out of socks... wondering how this will manifest for you...

Here's hoping it will manifest itself into your most powerful creation yet.

Of course....doesn't everyone? Just relax and recognize the fact that it's there. Can't wait to hear what it turns into.

My mind chases pirates all the time. Cure? I don't think there's any, just learn to stir it to go after slow moving ones.

Sounds like that when you are able to transform the idea it is going to be amazing! I have moments like that and it comes out always in writing. Good luck!

Yes, happens all the time. I have something working with now, but I can't move on it because of work work work. Hate when that happens because then I also get worried that I will lose my idea.

yes! i'll have an idea or thought and be fixated on it for daaaays. it'll take up way too much of my time causing me to just sit and ponder/doodle for hours at a time.

usually at the end i'll have come out of it with some sort of meaningful revelation while at other times...nothing.
