Married Black Female

I've been feeling embarrassingly stalkerish lately, not bad-but awkward. You see, Yvonne, over at The Rest of Yesterday has phenomenal taste in music. I've taken to visiting her page, catching up on her recent posts, brewing a pot of coffee and just hanging out there all day. I realized the extent of my stalkerish ways when I deliberately went through her entire playlist to find the song that was trapped in my head from the day previous. Widens eyes and hums Twilight Zone theme. And yes, it gets worse. Whilst listening to that song; Right as Rain by Adele- not once, but twice, I read through her recent film and TV recommendations. "God On Trial?! Hmmm, theology and philosophical law, now this is brain porn". So, I summoned Yael, Queen of the Remote Control, to auto-tune God on Trial. Then, I listened to Tropicalia by Beck and Sympathique before leaving her blog. Sings, "Je ne veux pas travailler." Unhealthy much?

God On Trial is a made for television screenplay set in WWII Auschwitz where imprisoned Jews put God on trial for breaking his covenant with them. It aired on Sunday at midnight, of course I watched with the Favorite Guy. For those of you who may not be in the know, Favorite Guy is a believer, and I believe one can not know. You can imagine this makes for interesting family room fodder. We seem to be on the same page with the film, however. We found it conceptually stimulating and well depicted. Giving exception only to the portrayal of the quasi-angry, blasphemous scholars and the ending, which I will not reveal. Even if you're not into theology, I'd recommend it for the multifaceted historical accounts of God's judgment, and the philosophical aspect of the film overall. The DVD is available for purchase here. Merci, Yvonne!

I so enjoy reading your posts!

You are, by the way, one of the few Americans I know who uses the word whilst...

I love the newsprint. Did you use photoshop to do that? And stalkerish? Naw. It sounds to me like you have found a kindred soul. Hanging out with friends (even virtual ones) is enjoyable. Now if you start sending love letters to her on a daily basis and try and show up on the doorstep - someone needs to call the authorities.

I feel you on the "stalker" thing... I kinda feel that way when I go into my google reader every hour of the day looking for new posts on blogs I adore--this one, included. I'll do my best not to cross the line--LOL!!! Heading over to the other blog--I love people with good musical taste!

That picture cracked me up!
I OFTEN leave blogs with music on as background for hours, and it only RECENTLY occured to me that people might wonder why I was looking at their page for a whole day. Oops!

Haha @ Renee's comment!!

I think we all possess the ability to be a little stalkerish. Oh. Huh? What, me? Yeah, I'm not telling, lol.

I think its definitely funny that you think visiting a blog a lot is stalking......uh, don't look now but I think I'm stalking YOU!

I look forward to reading you everyday (and sometimes checking back again just to see you if were inspired to put something new up sooner....).

And thanks for introducing me to A Cuban in London, whose very cool birthday celebration I enjoyed! Guess maybe I'll have a new daily blog read.....

T. this is like the coolest ish ever!! I often feel like I'm the only one that goes to my blog. I love that you dig my music selection. But now the pressures on and I feel that I should reveal that I once love NKOTB. Sad but I'm just keeping it real( hanging head in shame )

Honestly, I feel blessed to have found your site. Your words of encouragment and wisdom are fantastic. And I learn a new word everytime I read your blog. I know I have to keep my dictionary close at hand when I enter Tea and Honey Bread-ville.

Thanks again and maybe we should do a music mix switch? what do you think?

yeah, adele's got a nice sound.

my views are non traditional as far as the notion of god is concerned, yet i always find these sorts of films interesting. mostly for the reasons you gave: philosophical and historical aspects.
