I'm back!

Here are some highlights, of my blogosphere detoxification. In no particular order, although I wish I could remember the order in which it all went down, it would make for an interesting study.

I cut my hair (about 2 inches) with my craft scissors, two mirrors and a 12 oz bottle of beer. I haven't straightened it all out yet...I'll keep you posted.

I designed and created so many pieces of jewelry for Crafeteria 3 that my fingers were swollen and burning.

I watched enough Forensic Files, Snapped and Cops for a few lifetimes. During which time I realized how depraved the world really is. (We don't watch much boob tube here, thankfully.)

I learned not only was George Washington a liar and a cheat, but his wooden teeth-well, they weren't all wood; some were that of slaves and, animals. Um yeah George was a scary dude.

I saw the movie Trauma. A story of a man who awakens from a coma and can't decipher what is real from what isn't. It was traumatic and I am still trying to decipher the plot! But, Colin Firth has now made his way to my list of under-weight (by my standards) studmuffins and cool points go to the director for an interracial romance that wasn't purely sexual.

I bought a pair of $1 shorts and $15 yoga pants that fit like a great lover.

I ruined Jordan's life again, and Joe helped! Yay! Or, "whatevs BFD".

Lupe got a new coat, it's houndstooth and just what you'd expect to see in Forest Hills, around the first of the month when the seniors come out for half-priced lunches and slow walking on a busy city street.

I explained to Yael that not all married gay couples own horses like Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. I'm not sure why, but she was certain that our friends whom she lovingly refers to as, "The Husbands" must own horses since, like Ellen and Portia they do not have children.

I discussed "Indians" (Native Americans) pilgrims, genocide, slavery and the holocaust with my grandmother. Grandma is a scholar but a grandma first, "Child, it pains my heart to think how they did them people. Oooh Je-sus." She is seriously the best.

I'm sure I've missed some stuff. You see, it certainly wasn't a dreadful time, but I'm glad it's over. And you, "how you doin?!"
Peace

Well, you already know how I'm doing, so, yeah, back to you!

Ok, "The Husbands" is THE CUTEST THING EVER!!!! All I can say. Is your grandma MY great-grandma??

I had no idea that Lupe was still around, you must show us pictures sometime. And WHAT did you (all) do to Jordan?? LOL.

Washington facts... hella crazy! And don't you just love the 2 mirror system??

Glad you are back.

I am doing fine. In need of an office chair and am afraid if I don't get one soon I will seriously damage my back. Otherwise I am okay.

You grandma sounds like the best. I wish my grandparents were still alive. It would have been great to have them meet my son.

Haha!! You must have been watching the same History Channel documentary of the Revolution as I was!! It was pretty interesting, eh? Turns out Andrew Jackson was kind of a bastard, as well. It's kind of lame to find out later in life that all the Founding Fathers were just human like the rest of us:) So, how'd you ruin Jordan's life? Props for using the Shake 'n Bake "and I helped!" tag line. I do that ALL the time. "The Husbands" is too funny. If you're looking for a good, little-seen movie with an interracial romance that is SOOOO not about sex alone, you should check out The Nephew. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119772/

There's this one scene that involves hair cutting and head shaving and if you don't pounce on Joe during/after that scene, I'll have to give you big ups for restraint.

I'm fascinated with your list...

Can't wait to find out how your haircut turned out...hope that beer wasn't a mistake!

Your Crafteria space will be well stocked...hurrah!

I'll have Mark put Trauma on the Netflix list.

Glad to hear you weren't the only one ruining Jordan's life.

Lupe will be the most stylin' dog in AZ.

'The Husbands'...heh, heh, heh.

Give your grandma a great big hug. I sure miss my Ommie.

Sooooo glad you're back online!

A beer bottle wha??? I love ruining children's lives, especially as a couple. I love Lupe, he's so ugly and so cute at the same time.

wow! Busy few days...hope the haircut turned out ok!

Regarding Jordan: I also figured that if one of my kids wasn't mad at me for something (when they were teens) I wasn't doing my job! ; )

What's up with me is my eldest ( & baby girl) is home!! Tomorrow will be spent in the kitchen, so we're going to head out for a little R & R now....

I'm with Ms. Bar B - "The Husbands" is just about the cutest thing ever!! And can I have your grandma?? Not that I'd give my own grandma up, mind you. Come to think of it, they sound a lot alike.

**shuddering to think what it would look like if I cut my hair with craft scissors after a bottle of beer. Can we say "mullet"?
