No Schmates for this 71% Diva!

Favorite Guy has an event on Friday that I've been gearing up for over the past couple days. Today my dress came in the mail, delivered by Murphy-you know him right? As in Murphy's Law himself? Right, that guy. Well, it's too big. Like way too big, it looks like a schmate. I'm 5'3, so without accentuating the estrogen infused gifts of the Goddess I look like a 14 year old boy with great cheekbones. Too big is never a good look. Let's scratch that.

Back to the lab...

And, then I remembered my $13 jeans! Alright, I'm set. Signature move; the jeans, the tailored white shirt, the essential: push up-then out-ego inflating-free drink demanding-heavily padded bra and, of course lip balm! I think I'll leave the Harry Winston's home and skip the 4 foot long phony-tail as the good people over at My Heritage.com have issued a Potential Paparazzo Alert. Yes, apparently there is a 71% chance if I'm not careful, I'll be mistaken for Beyonce. Other potential hazards include Victoria Bernadotte 66% (Who's she?), Vivica A. Fox 64%, Rhianna 62%, Thandie Newton 62%, Queen Latifah 61%, Nicole Richie 60% (Hearty laughter ensues.), Nia Long 59%, Cameron Diaz 57%, Jada Pinkett Smith 57%. Yay! No Forrest Whittaker Laughs. Who do you kinda look like?

Sorry to hear about the dress....I have almost given up shopping on line unless its a label I KNOW!!

OK, then I loved the whole celebrity morph thing (how do you find this stuf?!?)until I tried it.

I don't even want to talk about the results. Going to go practice photopgraphing better in the mirror....

PS You are a Beonce look-alike. Jeans, white shirt......ouch, that's hot!

Cecile, I have long been a fan of Heritage.com. I promised myself I would only try it out on a day I was feeling relatively fearless as the last thing I wanted to do was be likened to Forrest Whittaker and suffer indefinitely! It was the first try-I'll never return, I'm not one for gambling...

Thanks Kathy Martin!

I have the WORST luck with dresses!

Great post, fun writting style and such a fun lil' morph at the end!

Why would you want to morph into Beyonce? You're gorgeous!

The outfit you are going with sounds great - classic and will look good. Don't you just hate that? You already have something in the closet but spend money on something that is just not right. It has happened to me- most recently on an item that was final sale, ouch!

Bummer about the dress!

Great celebrity morph! Do you get totally different results if you use a photo of you with bangs?

funny description of the too big dress.

now, that image morphing tool is interesting...i

Charmaine, I only did it once with painless results. I'm not going to push it.lol...

Flytie, I figured out the 'formula' while looking at my other matches-cheekbones and heart shaped faces...everything else was all over the place, those are the only 2 common denominators. If you try it, let me know.

lmao! i did it (and realized that i have done this before) and it's pretty off. i had 90% denise richards. others were lauryn hill, garcelle beauvais, angela basset, halle berry, and a whole bunch of other folks i'm not familiar with. it was pretty much based on how my facial expression was similar to that of those celebrities. not worthy of showing, ha!

but i think yours was pretty good since high cheek bones are a prominent feature, and you two certainly have that in common,
