Soul

"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life"~Pablo Picasso

The above image is of a photo by my friend and fellow Etsian Kate Kehoe of Chicalookate. For more equally awesome photography and fun recycled things visit her shop here. Got soul? Let's have a look.

Shutter Click & Chat 5/3 Prom!

Share your prom pics and a story or two. Joseph and I have never been. I was homeschooled and he was...well not into social situations. I'll be virtual shopping for some 80's prom music and goodies for fun. Oh! Music, that's right, "Take it away Huey..." Keep your eye on the "whoa ohh" guy...hysterical!

Have a wonderful week!

Oh, man, the eighties were horrid! I was a young married for the first half, and then birthing babies for the second half. Not my scene musically AT ALL...

That quote is absolutely perfect! I've never heard it before, but it is so, so, so TRUE! Thank you for sharing... what a beautiful picture!

Great image. Funny I had 80s music on my mind the other day. Well, most days. It was Bernard Wright Who Do you Love? Blogged about my obsession.

My prom was in 1969...yes that's right 1969. In 1983 I gave birth to the last of my 3 kids. I was too busy changing diapers and chasing kids around to really get into the music of the 80's!

Oh girl my prom was filled with drama. I would share but the wounds are so deep...wink!! Seriously, It's highschool, so trust you missed nothing but sloppy teenage drunks and ackward moments. I was over it way before my prom came around, but it was the thing to do, so I did it.

I never knew you were homeschooled? That's why you're SO SMART!!!

I {luv} the quote from Picasso. It compliments the graffiti artwork that you chose...
The soul is in the arts

Nice pic by your friend!

I LOVE Huey Lewis and the News. I owned that album, LOL! You gotta love the 80's intensity about nothing at all :)

My prom was in 1991, so there was still some residual 80s goodness (badness?) Big dresses and even bigger hair. I had no date, so I went with friends in a borrowed dress. Had much more fun than if I did the whole date thing.

Thanks for using my photo with a Huey Lewis & the News video. Perfect combo!

I find graffiti fascinating and beautiful. There are some really talented people out there armed with spray cans!

Soul...you, you, you got it! Yes, I went to prom. My date ate his prime rib with his hands. Ewwww! He ended up marrying my cousin, so now he's her problem. Yea!!!!

Typo redo - What a beautiful picture, I've never met a graffiti artist but it would be interesting to understand their creative process. What a nice blog you have :)
