April is the cruelest month, breeding lilacs out of the dead land, mixing memory and desire, stirring dull roots with spring rain.

Another favorite from this summer's visit to the galleries at Tlaquepaque in Sedona, Arizona. The sculpture rained, forming the rich green patina you see here...heavenly.

i love these sorts of quotes. thanks for sharing that.
my fascination with patina existed before i even knew what it was. this one is nice. the surrounding environment is a great setting.
That is absolutely gorgeous. I love how the sculpture still has movement with the water element. Brilliant!!
Love that sculpture...Thanks for the quote...Have a Happy Sunday!
What an awesome sculpture.
Here in Portland, Oregon that is so true, that April is the cruelest month. But today has been heavenly! Thanks for your wonderful posting!
I adore that sculpture, and I too love Tlaquepaque in Sedona. It is one of the most beautiful shopping/art complexes I have ever been in. I've visited Sedona many times...love those red rocks and always feel the spirit there when I get out onto the rocks. (Is the feeling in a vortex real or only in the mind of believers?) I never fail to spend at least a couple of days just strolling, sitting and soaking up those beautiful surroundings.
Ha! Love it!
Nice. Now I wish I had visited Sedona before leaving Arizona. Between this sculpture and the frog, it seems I missed much.
Thanks for bringing them to me here!

I LOVE that sculpture! It's wonderful. The setting is perfect for it, so lush and green.

This is one of my favorite all time quotes and made it into an artwork about 15 years ago. Thanks for triggering the memory of that making!
I heart that sculpture! It's the cutest!
