No, not me, Yael is going to the lake for the weekend with a friend's family. Yesterday was replete with questions about vegetarians and fishing. She's opted to just observe but does not oppose her friends, "fishing for dinner". I'm rather impressed with her stance considering she is just 9. My girl is alright! So, without further ado, let's kick it!
I'm not sure what I'll do just yet, I reckon I'll figure it out when I can stop this giddy dancing. Have a fabulous Friday all!
Peace!

That is so cool...we also love fishing, and the rivers and lakes here are MAHVELOUS with Chinook, Salmon & Steelhead. Unlike your fam, though, we roast, fry, bake and grill our catch.
While I am not a vegetarian any longer (you know I don't like those furkey burgers LOL)the one thing I can't take is hubby's love of hunting. Now that we live on the mountain, the deer frequent our yard, and I just want to scream "Don't play here...he will kill you!"
Seriously, glad Yael is firm on her beliefs, but still can accept others. That is really wonderful! Good for her, and good for you!
that's great!...yael's desire to make informed decisions and your freedom to do as you please. :-D
It's great that you've given her the skills to think for herself. She sounds quite grown up for 9!
FAB video - my toes are still tappin'

Great music! What a smart young lady to understand that it's all about freedom of choice. I love my vegetarian lifestyle but I don't really talk about it unless asked....then look out! Just kidding!
Good for Yael....I like her attitude.
And good for you!!! A weekend of kickin' it!
alright! Yael taking a stance for what she believes...hmmm...sound like anyone else we know?! i think it's fantastic! and i love the funky sixties-esque vibe video! have a great weekend! :)
You've equipped her well for living an empowered life by giving her the power to think for herself...is there any greater gift a parent can give.
Blessings of peace,
M
Fishing is waaay cool. Although, I'd much rather prefer to go right to a fish market and pick up the necessities. Um, don't have too much fun this weekend!
Glad that Yael is going to enjoy herself and so are you:):)
I have a self-proclaimed vegetarian at my house as well - she's FIVE and really has NEVER liked meat! Good for your daughter! She is quite young to already understand that freedom of choice is important! Good teaching mom!
I hope that had fun this weekend, I am sure that you did. And what a bright young lady you have on your hands. I love that she is willing to try new experiences even if she will not enjoy the "fruit" of the labor.
By now your freedom is coming to a close, but I hope you've enjoyed dancing around the house naked!!!!
