Fasting: Day 6/10
A couple of things I'm aglow about today:
The grade: Let's get that out of the way first. 49/50-She felt my essay was so "well researched and presented" that she counted the egregious offenses as "typos" and took off one grade point. She urged me to "re-read before submitting" in the comments. The last-word-Lucy in me -Surely you regulars have deduced this by now, yes?- wanted to tell her that I had in fact read it a number of times, but the 49/50 quickly silenced my blathering brain.
The brain: I have not had a headache- mild or otherwise- since day two of the fast. If you're not a headache sufferer, be glad...be very glad. I have been able to accomplish so much this week and overall I'm happier; chronic pain can be quite depressing. I'm also feeling sharper with the veil of discomfort lifted.
The summer: Not the hotter than hell part, but all of the Mercado Family fun we have planned! We've got birthdays: Yael turns 11 on 6/22, Tea & Honey Bread and Pretty in Peace turn 3 on 7/1, I'll be 37 on 7/12, Favorite Guy hits 41 on 7/21! We also have our summer vacation later in July and our wedding anniversary on 8/2. Perhaps, I should just rinse my wine glass and keep it on the counter for easy access, eh?

yummy! green drink...gotta love it and the benefits it brings.
well done on the paper! (but of course :-)
i know that feeling. the want--NEEDED--to have the last say on some school work that i got wrong or made a careless mistake on. i always knew exactly what i did/didn't do and would get so bugged by the notes written by the teacher TELLING me what i did or should have done. arrrrggg! but it was usually on 'A' papers, so i'd let it go.
sounds like summer will be a blast in the mercado house! yes, keep the wine glass accessible...
Congrats on the grade! I know that need to have the last word all too well, ha!
It sounds like a really happy time for you and the fam. I hope it's full of amazingly wonderful moments. Enjoy the drink brave one. I am awful at green juices. I can do blue, orange, red, yellow...but green? You have me intrigued with the ingredients though, the lemon sounds like it would be amazing in this...maybe some day :)
I think I am going to try this mystical fast you speak of. Congratulations on your grade.
and always keep the wine glass handy, is that even a question?

I knew you would do well. I am very proud of you taking classes. I am thinking of returning myself, you inspired me.
Speaking of wine, I have sipping on some Moscato as we speak.
Wow...congratulations on all the goodness in your life right now!! And yes...I would just keep a wine (or champagne) glass rinsed and within reach at all times if I were you!!

...just catching up with you...I'm sorry you're so busy and having such a rough time (a.k.a shitty time). One of my daughters birthday was the 22nd also. So maybe you need to keep that wine glass filled with something not green?!
